Steve Troutman

Steve retired from IBM in 2010 after for 33 years of service in which Steve held a number of management and professional positions in transformation consulting, organization change, process leadership, and sales.

As a US Naval Reservist, Steve retired after 23 years of service and was the Commanding Officer of four units, and attained the rank of Captain.

As a Futurist, since 1999, he is sought out for foresight trends and scenarios, methodologies, and insights about the future.  As a manager, facilitator, and team leader throughout his various careers, he gained in depth knowledge in change management, process improvement, team leadership and facilitation, remote team management, creativity, and consulting methodologies. Steve is the co-author of the book: Remote Control: A Practitioner’s Guide to Managing Virtual Teams (IHRIM Press 2005).  Since 1992, Steven is a speaker on a diverse set of business, general interest, and futures related topics, and  continues to maintain an active speaking schedule.

Steve has an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Venture Management and a BS in Business Management both from the University of Southern California.
