David Connaughton

David Connaughton B.A., MBA, CPD (AIPM),  work experience includes senior management, executive and program/project management leadership roles with ANZ, INGA, IBM, PwC and Lend Lease as a well as independent management consultant.

During his time with Lend Lease Employer Systems, Dave reported to the CEO with General Management responsibility for Sales, Account Management, Marketing and product development. During that time Dave developed some of the first HR back office outsourcing solutions in the mid 1990’s. Upon moving to PwC Dave HR outsourcing business which resulted in Australia’s first large scale HR outsourcing contracts with two Commonwealth departments in Canberra. During his time with PwC and IBM, Dave worked with large Australian and Global multi-nationals to transform front and back office functions in the Oceania, Asia Pacific and North America.

As an executive with ANZ Dave led a successful transformation of the project delivery ING/ANZ joint venture including introducing a standard streamlined project methodology, centralising and up-skilling the project management and business analyst resources. Dave also served as the Global Program Executive for ANZ’s Anti-Money Laundering program, overseeing the global roll-out of the $190 million program of work.

Over the last four years Dave has worked as an independent program executive/management consultant specialising in recovering and delivering projects, mainly in the financial services sector.
